Racetracks to Plug-in Slot Machines!
Posted in General by webmaster on 06/30/2010Statehouse correspondent Bill Cohen and Casey Braun report that Ohio's horse-racing tracks will get video slot machines without a Novemeber election fight. That's because the LetOhioVote group that delayed the Governor's original plan for slots at the racetracks by getting a referendum on the November ballot, has abruptly pulled the issue from the November ballot.
With the LetOhioVote issue off the ballot the Governor can move ahead and ask the Ohio Court to expand the State Lottery to allow Video Lottery Terminals at the State's seven horse racing tracks, and plug them in soon thereafter. Click to listen: 4min 4sec
