Driving Directions

From Canton: It takes approximately 40 minutes to get to Wooster. Take Route 30 West for about 30 miles to Wooster. Take the Columbus Avenue/Route 3 Exit for Wooster. Make a left at the exit ramp stop sign and proceed straight, until you cross the railroad tracks then look for Vanover Street and turn left. Proceed on Vanover to the Wayne County Fairgrounds entrance gate and turn left to enter the grounds. Go straight, follow around the curve, over the little bridge, and past the Coliseum you will see the Racehorse Barns on your left and the racetrack on your right. The Dee Hotton Stable is located in Barn 22 side B.

From Akron: It takes approximately 45 minutes to get to Wooster.Take I-77 South to Route 21 South. Take Route 21 South to Route 585. Take Route 585 west for 21 miles to Wooster. Traveling straight into Wooster across the overpass bridge (do not enter back onto the highway) Route 585 becomes Akron Road, then East Bowman Street after going around a sharp curve and railroad tracks. Stay on East Bowman Street for approximately three miles until you a reach an intersection with Beall Avenue. Turn left on Beall Avenue. Beall Avenue runs into East Liberty Street, which is the main street of Wooster. Turn right on East Liberty Street and go through downtown Wooster. Continue straight on Liberty Street until you see the Wayne County Fairgrounds on your left. The entrance to the Wayne County Fairgrounds Racehorse Barns is on your left. The Dee Hotton Stable is located in Barn 22 side B.

From Cleveland: It takes approximately 1 hour to get to Wooster. Take I-71 South to the Lodi Route 83 exit. Turn left at the exit ramp traffic light onto Route 83 south and go through the little town of Burbank. Then conitinue to travel Rt 83 south for 14 miles until you reach the north-end shopping center of Wooster. Then look for the Milltown Road intersection and turn right on Milltown Road. Proceed straight on Milltown Rd. until you start to crest a small hill and look to your left for Oak Hill Rd. Turn left on Oak Hill and go straight for a few miles until the stop sign at the bottom of a steep hill. Turn left onto West Liberty Street. Proceed on Liberty until the next traffic light where you will see the Wayne County Fairgrounds. Turn right at the traffic light and look for the Wayne County Fairgrounds Racehorse Barns entrance gate on your left. The Dee Hotton Stable is located in Barn 22 side B.

From Columbus: It takes approximately 1&1/2 hours to get to Wooster. Take I-71 North to the Route 30 East exit. Take Route 30 East for 28 miles into Wooster. Exit on the Columbus Avenue/Route 3 exit for Wooster. Make a right at the exit ramp stop sign and proceed straight, until you cross the railroad tracks then look for Vanover Street and turn left. Proceed on Vanover to the Wayne County Fairgrounds entrance gate and turn left to enter the grounds. Go straight, follow around the curve, over the little bridge, and past the Coliseum you will see the Racehorse Barns. The Dee Hotton Stable is located in Barn 22 side B.
